We Did It! Finally!!!

OK...so we've been getting a lot of grief from people lately regarding our lack of registering for Abigail.  She'll be arriving in approximately two months and until now, we hadn't really "prepared" for her in that way (though I must say I think we're quite prepared in other ways...ie - excitement and love...we have those covered!). 

Luckily, with my Baby Shower invitations going out today, we had some added motivation (thanks Mom!)...and I'm proud to say that we've finally done it!  I can't say I feel like we did the best job ever (it's hard to select items for a baby you don't have yet), but it's done. Yahoo!!!

I feel like the weight of the world has been lifted off my shoulders...

Since I'm such a list-maker, this item has been haunting me for months.  It is officially checked off the list of things to do...and I just wanted to share that with everyone because I'm so proud of myself (remember how I celebrate minor accomplishments?!?).

Sunday Cravings: Holiday Spirit!

Who says you always have to crave food?  

Today we were in the mood for some Holiday Spirit so we whipped out our Christmas decorations and found a few new items to add to our collection while wandering down Polk Street...the result?

A whole lot of Holiday Spirit and a very happy Ali!

Oh, and did I mention we also (finally) brought out our holiday CD collection?  That stuff never gets old...Mariah Carey, Harry Connick Jr., NSync...too bad my favorite Christmas CD is on the missing list.

That would be Hanson's Christmas album...try not to make too much fun of me. It's amazing.

Anyway, I'm going to keep this short and sweet because we're about to continue our Harry Potter movie marathon...

The Bump Report: Week 31

First of all, Happy belated Thanksgiving!

I had the best of intentions to post yesterday (as Thursdays are my official "Bump Report" day), but as you can probably expect I got a little distracted by all things food, family and festivity...

And I am NOT complaining...it was all absolutely lovely!

We did, however, manage to step outside onto my in-law's lovely deck in El Dorado Hills for a quick Bump Report photo shoot.  

Before I post the pictures, you should know that Abby is still the size of a Squash (apparently closing in on 3 pounds), and she's going through major brain and nerve development these days...maybe that explains all the movement?

Or maybe it was all the Turkey and delicious food we consumed yesterday...

Either way, she's a VERY active baby and we can't wait to meet her!

I'm Thankful For...My Family

I'm Thankful For...My Husband

I'm also thankful that I've been so diligent about posting pictures on Facebook over the past few years!

I am so thankful for my Husband, Travis...he's the most amazing, loving, thoughtful, hilarious, fun man I know (and he's going to be an AMAZING Daddy to top it off!).
